"It's been a long while since I last did that huh.."
*Checks that all my electronics are kinda.. protected, and makes the first step~*
That happened a few days back.
When I was heading back home after an excruciatingly early and redundant meeting from work before I set off to work in another location (Sorry that this is a little confusing here.) for the rest of the day. I chose to make a trip home to make a phone call just cus it would be quieter but that fella decided to NOT pick up my call. Ugh. That, is another matter altogether, though.
OKAY, so I digressed big time.
I have always been loving rainy days ever since I was a kid. I was told that whenever pellets of rain falls upon me when I was still in my (now, late) grampa's arms, I would totally enjoy it and giggle so hard that it baffles that man to no end.
And that very afternoon, there was a light pour of rain while I stepped off the bus (to head home, may I add, again). And the first thought that came to my mind was: When was the last time that I ever ran freely, thoughtlessly AND under the rain?!
So I did.
I let everything go - the fact that I still have to go to work, and in that outfit that I was wearing at that point of time cus it'll be too late to pick out another outfit, the fact that I cannot let the rain mess my hair or makeup because I still have to work, the fact that I might get sick especially when I'm already a little under the weather, and a lot more that I can't really remember 'em exactly, now.
And I ran.
And I forgot that puddles would already have formed and gathered their fellow puddle-friends together since it has been raining for quite a while by then. I almost swore out loud as I felt the coldness seeping through and my shoes turning a darker shade of orange.
It felt good. I felt like a kid again.
Had to have my face re-touched a tad bit here and there, had to have my hair fall back in place again, had to make sure that my outfit doesn't seem to be too out of place. Had to make sure of a lot more of things, but it all really don't matter.
Cus I was happy.
Happy that I did ran for and under it.
Simple, cheap thrills, you can say.
I figured that the moment that I realized that being Happy, is the most important thing in life, is the very moment that I have truly grown up.
It may sound a bit too simple, and maybe to some, a bit too hard. But that's how I truly feel about the most important thing in life.
Or at least I can safely say so, for me.
Now I throw the question back to you (which is very seldom that I do this to end my entry),
What or when is the moment when you feel that you have truly grown up?
I hope you all are still doing well and not under the weather since it has been nothing but wet and cold lately.
(I know, too, that I have written quite a lengthy entry about my run under the rain, but I really did enjoy it you see!! I could have talked about how I almost bumped into him face-to-face but I figured it isn't worth the time of both you and me, you see.)
Now, go watch some VS Arashi, if you haven't already. (:
Tillagain.
