The older, the better.
Mar. 26th, 2011 12:45 amWent back to the place where I used to spend almost my entire life and wasn't hoping that I would be able to bump into this person that I would want to meet and because the whole point of going back there wasn't to meet her. Plus, it's the school holidays for most of the young kiddos there.
Still went ahead and tried my luck anyway.
I must admit that it's really nice to see her face and that smile of hers again, even though I vividly remember that I used to dread seeing her face and not knowing if I'm going to get 'killed' by her with my progress of my work, or not, for the day.
I also used to dread her lessons since it's always the longest, and it seems like there's endless work for us to do. I always remember how we all would be seated in the needle-work room and keep working, with lots of papers being passed around, and all we do is to keep writing, and completing the things that was being passed around, endlessly.
Those were really the days. (':
"How's your GPA ah?"
"Er, wait till tomorrow, then I'll know for the first year lo."
"Oh. Should be can lah. Temasek produce one leh, got the never-say-die attitude one right? Sure can one."
"Er.. okay. haha!!"
Talked about life in TP and about the differences here and there and she was like: It's time for you all to study smart already. Studying hard will not help as much as it does when you all are still here. Things are different already.
It really got me thinking there.
It sure took me long enough to adapt to life in TP and I guess it took me almost one semester to really get into it (don't laugh hor!!), learning about the things that I'm supposed to know and the things that are different from what seems to be a habit for me, back then. It made me realize how much I miss the days back in TMS, sleeping my entire first period away with someone looking out for me, and me looking out for her during the second period, and everything. From classes to recess, to CCA.
I was telling her that, as well, and she smirked and gave me a look.
"Guess moving on to a brand new environment has made you all learn to appreciate TMS, appreciate what we (the teachers) have done for you all right?"
What else can I say?
This is a rather delayed post, and I've almost forgotten about it until I was looking through my timeline in twitter and saw my tweet about something related to this and find that it's half completed and saved on my desktop. :P
I guess, I can only say that I really do love TMS (despite all the other horrible bitches there who tried to ruin the students' lives and making them miserable all the time. Die bitches, die!!)
